Pre-Wedding Education

One inspiring quote says,

“Love is not about how much you say ‘I love you,’ but how much you prove that it’s true.”

The Bible states, “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of
three strands is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

The goal of a pre-wedding education for recently married couples is to provide them the skills they need to create a solid and long-lasting happy home.

This is two different individuals coming to become one. Couples are coming from different backgrounds and upbringings that have the tendency of forecasting their future home.

Their opinions about different areas of marriage, such as:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Financial management
  • Handling disagreement
  • Birth control
  • Understanding parenthood
  • Home management
  • Managing in-laws and extended family relationships
  • Understanding emotional needs of a man and woman.

Example: A man said to me that it is wrong for a woman to initiate sex. A woman said to me that a woman’s money is her money and not for the family. Couples need to share their views agree and disagree before the vow.
